Dr. Lazo-Langner is a Hematologist specializing in thromboembolic disease. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad La Salle School of Medicine in Mexico City and then completed a 4-years Residency program in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Hematology at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City. He subsequently did a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Thrombosis at the University of Ottawa where he also obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology. His main areas of expertise are venous thromboembolic disease, thrombosis, population-based studies, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and epidemiological methods. His main research interests are focused on determinants of thromboembolic diseases, clinical trials in thromboembolic disease, risk-benefit analysis and decision making with secondary research interests including clinical and observational studies involving hematological malignancies.
